TPS voltage less than 2.0 volts at 63% to 68% throttle command

Possible Causes

  • •Intermittent problem
  • •Foreign object in throttle bore
  • •Damaged, corroded, or contaminated electronic throttle connector terminals
  • •Open circuit between throttle connector TPS 1 signal pin 1 and ECM TPS 1 signal pin 39
  • •Short to ground in TPS 1 signal circuit

  1. 1Remove the foreign object from the throttle bore
  2. 2Repair electronic throttle connector terminals as necessary
