DTC 22 2

UnclassifiedFuel

What This Code Means

TPS2 voltage low (< 1.00 VDC) at 0% TPS; DST displays TPS2 voltage <0.2 VDC with throttle closed; DST displays TPS2 voltage <0.2 VDC with throttle open; TPS2 voltage falls below 0.2 volts

Possible Causes

  • Intermittent Problem
  • Poor Throttle Connection
  • Faulty Throttle

Suggested Actions

  1. 1Perform the On-Board (OBD) System Check
  2. 2Key ON, Engine OFF, System Mode = 'Stopped', Enable 'DBW Test' mode to check if TPS2 voltage is low (< 1.00 VDC) at 0% TPS
  3. 3Slowly depress FP while observing TPS2 voltage (or sweep throttle on stationary applications by typing desired throttle opening % in the TPS Command box on the DBW page)
  4. 4Key OFF, Disconnect throttle from harness
  5. 5Slowly release FPP sensor while observing TPS2 voltage
  6. 6Jumper 5Vref1 to TPS2 signal circuit at throttle connector, Key On, Engine Off, System Mode = 'Stopped', and check if DST displays TPS2 voltage >4.0 VDC
