Possible Causes

  • Foreign object in throttle bore
  • Electronic throttle connector terminals damaged, corroded, or contaminated
  • Faulty throttle
  • Open circuit / lack of continuity between throttle connector TPS 1 signal pin 1 and ECM TPS 1 signal pin 39
  • Short to ground on throttle connector TPS 1 signal pin 1 circuit
  • Intermittent problem
