MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) ON; Engine shut down; Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) ON; Engine will not start; Engine shutdown
Possible Causes
- •Inlet air is much hotter than normal
- •Air inlet system is obstructed, modified, or damaged
- •Hot air from the engine, exhaust, or radiator is recirculating into the air inlets
- •Incorrect valve lash
- •Cracks or breaks in the air inlet system allowing heated air in
- •IAT sensor voltage less than 0.050 volts for 1 second while engine is cranking or running
