What This Code Means

MIL ON; Engine Shutdown; Engine shutdown; Rough, unstable, missing, or incorrect engine idle; DST displays MAP greater than defined in diagnostic calibration

Possible Causes

  • MAP greater than 35 psi (psia) with TPS less than 10% and engine RPM greater than 1400 while engine is running
  • MAP pressure greater than 35 psi (psia) with TPS less than 10% and engine rpm greater than 1400 while engine is running
  • Engine mechanical problem
  • Vacuum leak
  • Intermittent problem
  • Faulty MAP sensor
  • Faulty pressure connection to intake
  • Faulty ECM connection
  • Open sensor ground circuit
  • Faulty ECM
