What This Code Means
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) ON; Engine will not start or run
Possible Causes
- •Engine speed is greater than 90 RPM and the crank and/or cam cannot synchronize within 4 cranking revolutions
- •Crankshaft and/or camshaft position sensors not securely connected to harness
- •Crankshaft and/or camshaft position sensors not securely installed on the engine or brackets are loose
- •Open circuit in crankshaft and/or camshaft position sensor circuits wiring
Suggested Actions
- 1Check that the crankshaft and/or camshaft position sensors are securely connected to harness
- 2Check that the crankshaft and/or camshaft position sensors are securely installed on the engine, and all brackets are tight
- 3Check crankshaft and/or camshaft position sensor circuits wiring for open circuits
