What This Code Means
Engine speed exceeds 2350 RPM; Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) ON; Adaptive learn disabled; Power Derate 1: ON; MIL: On; Engine RPM exceeds 2350 rpm
Possible Causes
- •Engine RPM exceeds the limit set in the diagnostic calibration for the latch time or more
- •Mechanical throttle malfunction
- •Large air leaks downstream of the throttle body
- •Mechanical issue with the throttle
- •Large air leaks in the engine intake downstream of the throttle body
Suggested Actions
- 1If any other DTCs are present, diagnose those first
- 2Record a plot file in 4G display using the PSI HD Plot Template (or manually tag Engine Speed, Max Governor Setpoint, Current Governor Target, and Active Governor Type in the MAIN Page of the 4G Display)
- 3Check mechanical operation of the throttle
- 4Check the engine intake for large air leaks downstream of the throttle body
- 5Record a plot file in 4G display using the PSI HD Plot Template (or record Engine Speed, Max Governor Setpoint, Current Governor Target, and Active Governor Type in the 4G Display MAIN Page)
