Possible Causes

• •A Shutdown Fault was Bypassed While the Battle Short Feature was Enabled on the Control
• •Active Shutdown fault while operating in battle-short mode
• •Battle Short mode is active
• •Event/fault 1416 activated as a result of another active shutdown fault while the PowerCommand 3.3 control is operating in Battle Short mode
• •Local or remote Emergency Stop has been activated
• •PCC overrides a shutdown fault while Battle Short mode remains active

Suggested Actions

1. 1Act upon all shutdown faults immediately
2. 2Allow the engine to cool down completely before proceeding with checks
3. 3Check that the Emergency Stop button is working correctly
4. 4Check the Input # requirements and correct if possible
5. 5Click on Save to map a configurable input to the Battle Short Switch
6. 6Click on Setup > Configurable I/O folders
7. 7If the engine can be stopped, allow the engine to cool down completely before proceeding
8. 8Open InPower with the security dongle attached and click on the control in the left side of the window
9. 9Put the PCC in Off mode
10. 10Reset the local/remote Emergency Stop button: De-activate (disable) the Emergency Stop button, press the Stop button, press the Reset button, and select the desired operating mode (manual or auto)
11. 11Set the Setup Mode Enable parameter to Enable in order to enter Setup mode
12. 12Troubleshoot the other shutdown fault(s) that are causing the generator set to display event/fault code 1416
13. 13Troubleshoot the shutdown fault that is causing the generator set to shut down
14. 14Use the PC-based service tool harness to connect the computer to TB15 on the PCC base board
