What This Code Means

MIL ON; Engine shutdown; Slave MAP is 1.5 psi lower than master MAP; Boost on the secondary side is lower than the boost on the primary side

Possible Causes

  • Misfire condition
  • Partial misfire from valve lash
  • Lack of compression
  • Leak in the CAC system (boots, clamps, CAC)
  • Turbo wastegate not adjusted properly
  • Turbo wastegate sticking
  • Suspect or sticking throttle body
  • Faulty turbo not making boost

Suggested Actions

  1. 1Check all hose clamps on the CAC piping to make sure they are properly clamped and tight
  2. 2Check for tears in any of the silicone boots
  3. 3Inspect boots and clamps located underneath the bridge over the valley of the engine by the ECUs for looseness due to vibration
