What This Code Means

Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) ON; Engine shutdown

Possible Causes

  • Leak in the CAC piping on the primary side, causing primary side boost to be lower than the secondary side
  • Misfire condition
  • Faulty turbo not making boost
  • Partial misfire from valve lash
  • Lack of compression
  • Leak in the CAC system (boots, clamps, CAC)
  • Turbo wastegate not adjusted properly

Suggested Actions

  1. 1Check all hose clamps on the CAC piping to make sure they’re properly clamped and tight
  2. 2Make sure there are no tears in any of the silicone boots
  3. 3Inspect boots and clamps located underneath the bridge over the valley of the engine by the ECUs
