DTC 22 2

UnclassifiedFuel

What This Code Means

TPS 2 Signal Voltage Low; TPS2 voltage < 1.00 VDC at 0% TPS; DST displays TPS2 voltage <0.2 VDC with the throttle closed; DST displays TPS2 voltage <0.2 VDC with the throttle open; TPS2 voltage falls below 0.2 volts when releasing FPP sensor

Possible Causes

  • Intermittent Problem
  • Poor Throttle Connection
  • Faulty Throttle

Suggested Actions

  1. 1Perform the On-Board (OBD) System Check.
  2. 2Key ON, Engine OFF, set System Mode to 'Stopped', enable 'DBW Test' mode, and check if TPS2 voltage is low (< 1.00 VDC) at 0% TPS.
  3. 3Observe if DST displays TPS2 voltage <0.2 VDC with the throttle closed.
  4. 4Slowly depress FP (or sweep throttle on stationary applications by typing the desired throttle opening % in the TPS Command box on the DBW page) and observe if DST displays TPS2 voltage <0.2 VDC with the throttle open.
  5. 5Key OFF and disconnect throttle from harness.
  6. 6Slowly release FPP sensor while observing if TPS2 voltage falls below 0.2 volts.
  7. 7Jumper 5Vref1 to TPS2 signal circuit at throttle connector, set Key On, Engine Off, System Mode = 'Stopped', and check if DST displays TPS2 voltage >4.0 VDC.
