What This Code Means

Never Crank Synced at Start

Possible Causes

  • •Dirty ECM ground terminals C010, C022 or C023
  • •Loose ECM ground terminals C010, C022 or C023
  • •No voltage (less than 5.0 volts) at CKP (Crankshaft position) sensor connector C015 pin 1
  • •Lack of continuity between CKP connector pin 2 and ECM connector pin 22
  • •Lack of continuity between CKP connector pin 3 and ECM connector pin 21

Suggested Actions

  1. 1Perform the On-Board (OBD) System Check
  2. 2Clean and tighten ECM ground terminals C010, C022 and C023
  3. 3Repair the circuit as necessary (Refer to Wiring Repairs in Engine Electrical)
