What This Code Means

Engine will not start or run; Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) ON

Possible Causes

•Engine speed is greater than 90 RPM and the crankshaft and/or camshaft position sensors cannot synchronize within 4 cranking revolutions
•Crankshaft and/or camshaft position sensors not securely connected to the harness
•Crankshaft and/or camshaft position sensors not securely installed on the engine
•Loose sensor brackets
•Open circuits in crankshaft and/or camshaft position sensor circuits wiring

Suggested Actions

1Check that the crankshaft and/or camshaft position sensors are securely connected to the harness
2Check that the crankshaft and/or camshaft position sensors are securely installed on the engine, and all brackets are tight
3Check crankshaft and/or camshaft position sensor circuits wiring for open circuits
