Possible Causes

• •Aux 102 1 Discrete Input #3 active state selection parameter is configured incorrectly
• •Condition for which Discrete Input #3 is configured for is active
• •Faulty switch unit
• •Shorted low condition at J4-3 (switch input) side

Suggested Actions

1. 1Disconnect wiring harness and test resistance of wiring between switch output leads and input leads at base board (should be < 10 ohms)
2. 2Press the Reset button on operator panel to clear fault
3. 3Test resistance from switch output leads to all other pins in harness connector (should be > 100k ohms)
4. 4Verify condition for which Discrete Input #3 has been configured
5. 5Verify switch input setting (active closed or active open) for Discrete Input #3 via InPower service tool or operator panel (Setup > Aux 101 Setup)
6. 6Verify wiring harness running from switch plug to AUX 102 board for shorted low condition at J4-3 side
7. 7Visually inspect switch for proper operation, intended range of movement, and functionality
8. 8With switch disconnected, measure resistance from J4-3 input pin to engine block ground (should be > 100k ohms)
