What This Code Means

Overspeed Fault circuitry activates; Engine speed rises above pre-setable value

Possible Causes

  • •Engine speed exceeds the pre-set limit (factory set at 55 Hz for 50 Hz sets and 66 Hz for 60 Hz sets, or 10% above the operating speed)
  • •Engine speed rises above 55 Hz (for 50 Hz sets)
  • •Engine speed rises above 66 Hz (for 60 Hz sets)

Suggested Actions

  1. 1Adjust the adjustment screw through the hole beside the Overspeed Set-up LED while the engine is running at rated speed (1500 rpm for 50 Hz or 1800 rpm for 60 Hz) until the Overspeed Set-up LED just goes out
  2. 2Adjust the overspeed value by running the engine at the rated speed (1500 rpm for 50 Hz or 1800 rpm for 60 Hz) and turning the adjustment screw beside the Overspeed Set-up LED until the LED just goes out.
