What This Code Means
Engine shutdown due to over-speed; Engine shutdown due to over-frequency; Engine fails to start; Over-crank shutdown and alarm indication; Frequency goes to zero and engine stops running; Frequency goes to zero while engine continues to run; Over-crank shutdown and alarm indication while the engine is running
Possible Causes
- •Air in the fuel system
- •Engine runs out of fuel
- •Engine speed exceeds the configured shutdown speed trip point
- •Failure of the engine to start by the end of the preset second crank period
- •Frequency sensing network trip point set too low
- •Frequency signal source fails
- •Loss of crank-disconnect signal during the previous run period
- •Loss of input signal
Suggested Actions
- 1Adjust rheostat located on top right side of controller clockwise (CW) to increase trip frequency and raise shutdown speed
- 2Adjust the rheostat located on the top right-hand side of the controller clockwise (CW) to increase the trip frequency and raise the shutdown speed
- 3Do not attempt to restart the engine without a crank-disconnect signal to avoid destroying the starter motor
- 4Initiate cranking cycle to attempt engine restart
- 5Inspect and repair the frequency signal source / crank-disconnect signal
