LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE

Possible Causes

• •Battery is discharged (when generator set is not running)
• •Battery charging alternator is not charging due to loose fan belt
• •Faulty battery charging alternator
• •Battery does not hold a charge

Suggested Actions

1. 1Check battery voltage (should be at least 12 volts for a 12 volt system or at least 24 volts for a 24 volt system)
2. 2If voltage is low and generator set is not running, recharge battery using a separate battery charger or run the engine
3. 3If voltage is low and generator set is running, stop the set and check fan belt tension
4. 4If fan belt tension is correct, check battery charging alternator (refer to Engine Manual)
5. 5If battery does not hold a charge, replace the battery
6. 6Once the cause of the alarm is rectified, clear the alarm lamp by pressing the "LAMP TEST" button
