Diagnostic Scan Tool (DST) displays MAP pressure of 16 psia or greater with Key ON; Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) ON for active fault; Adaptive disabled; Diagnostic Scan Tool (DST) displays MAP pressure of less than 16 psia with Key ON

Possible Causes

  • •Faulty TMAP sensor
  • •Intermittent problem
  • •Barometric Pressure (BP) greater than 16 psia
  • •Barometric Pressure (BP) value is out of the normal range

Suggested Actions

  1. 1Perform On-Board (OBD) System Check
  2. 2Replace TMAP sensor
  3. 3Clear DTC information from the ECM using the Diagnostic Scan Tool (DST)
  4. 4Turn the ignition OFF, wait 30 seconds, start the engine, and operate the vehicle to full operating temperature to verify the repair
  5. 5Turn the ignition OFF and wait 30 seconds, then start the engine and operate to full operating temperature to verify repair
