What This Code Means

DST displays BP less than defined in the diagnostic calibration; BP Low Pressure

Possible Causes

  • Intermittent problem
  • Poor connection at sensor
  • Faulty MAP sensor
  • Faulty Harness

Suggested Actions

  1. 1Perform the On-Board (OBD) System Check
  2. 2Disconnect MAP sensor from harness and jumper the MAP circuit to 5Vref 1 (5 VDC) in connector on harness
  3. 3Disconnect wire harness header from ECM, remove yellow lock from header at device output terminal, and check resistance between MAP input at ECM header and signal at device
  4. 4Probe MAP signal circuit with a test light connected to battery voltage
  5. 5Perform On-Board (OBD) System Check
  6. 6Disconnect wire harness header from ECM and check resistance between MAP input at ECM header and signal at device
  7. 7Disconnect MAP sensor from harness, jumper the MAP circuit to 5Vref 1 (5 VDC) in connector on harness, and check if DST displays BP > 14.0 psia
