• •Loose connections at the coil and spark plugs
• •Charring or arcing around the spark plugs
• •Coil resistance out of specifications
• •Internal short in the coil
• •Use of low-quality coils with a history of internal arcing or other failures
• •Ambient temperatures exceeding 85C continuously or 125C for short intervals
• •Dwell time set too long in diagnostic calibration
• •Adaptive dwell disabled
