112
UnclassifiedEmissions
What This Code Means
MIL-On during active fault and for 2 seconds after active fault; Adaptive-Disabled during active fault; Closed Loop-Enabled and allowed to stay at limit if required; ECM uses default value for IAT sensor
Possible Causes
- •Continuity/short circuit between TMAP sensor connector ground pin 1 and signal pin 2
- •Continuity/short circuit between TMAP sensor connector signal circuit pin 2 and engine ground
- •Diagnostic Trouble Code current for a sensor
- •Faulty ECM
- •Faulty TMAP sensor
- •IAT sensor voltage less than 0.05 volts anytime the engine is cranking or running
- •Intermittent problem
- •Unresolved lower-numbered DTC (DTC 112 causing DTC 122)
Suggested Actions
- 1Check DST in System Data Mode for IAT voltage
- 2Check for continuity between TMAP sensor connector signal circuit pin 2 and engine ground
- 3Clear DTCs by turning ignition key to OFF position and removing system main power fuse (F3) for 15 seconds
- 4Clear DTCs using a laptop computer
- 5Diagnose problems starting with the lowest number DTC first
- 6Disconnect ECM wire harness connector and check for continuity between TMAP sensor connector ground pin 1 and signal pin 2
- 7Disconnect TMAP sensor wire harness connector and check DST IAT voltage
- 8Perform On-Board (OBD) System Check
- 9Repair DTC 112 first to correct DTC 122
- 10Repair the circuit as necessary
- 11Replace ECM
- 12Replace TMAP sensor
