What This Code Means
MIL-On during active fault; Engine Shut Down
Possible Causes
- •Engine Oil Pressure low
- •Excessive circuit resistance between oil pressure switch connector and ECM harness pin 37 (5 ohms or greater)
- •Faulty oil pressure switch
- •Faulty oiling system
- •Intermittent problem
- •Oil pressure circuit open
- •Oil pressure switch circuit short to ground
Suggested Actions
- 1Check circuit resistance between oil pressure switch connector and ECM harness pin 37 (should be less than 5 ohms)
- 2Check oil pressure switch circuit for short to ground
- 3Clear DTC 115 using DST in System Data Mode
- 4Disconnect oil pressure switch harness connector C005 and ECM header connector
- 5Perform On-Board (OBD) System Check
- 6Repair circuit wiring
- 7Repair faulty oiling system
