SYNCHRONIZER PHASE ROTATION WARNING
UnclassifiedElectrical
What This Code Means
Permissive close is not allowed; Permissive conditions for close are not met; Synchronizing continues but normal operation cannot occur; SYNC1320 master synchronizer drive on the load share lines reaches its maximum limit; Synchronizer cannot reach the desired voltage or frequency level; Permissive close is removed
Possible Causes
- •Any of the permissive criteria fall outside of the specified window
- •Phase rotation of the Utility bus does not match the phase rotation of the generator bus
- •SYNC1320 master synchronizer is trying to match voltage or frequency and cannot reach the desired level
- •Utility source is unavailable
- •Generator source is unavailable
- •Utility and generator phase rotation are not the same
- •The highest difference of all the generator phase voltages minus the utility phases is equal to or greater than the voltage window
- •The phase difference is equal to or greater than the phase window, or it is not decreasing
- •The frequency difference between the sources is equal to or greater than the frequency window
- •Permissive conditions are not met for the duration of the time window
Suggested Actions
