Suggested Actions

  1. 1Verify the active DTC using IDST or IDSS engine diagnostic software
  2. 2Verify fault verification via SPN/FMI under DM1 (Active DTCs) and DM2 (History/Stored DTCs) within the machine controller
  3. 3Remove the affected sensor
  4. 4Carefully clean DEF or soot buildup from the probe area using a soft wire brush (do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, and do not allow the sensor tip to become wet)
  5. 5Reinstall the same sensor (replacement is not required for short circuit DTCs)
