Possible Causes

• •Electronic governor linkage binding
• •Emergency Stop Pushbutton depressed
• •Engine overspeed
• •Engine speed rises above a certain pre-settable value, causing the E.I.M to send a zero volt signal to the generator set control panel
• •Governor speed setting lever moved
• •Overspeed condition
• •Remote stop button depressed

Suggested Actions

1. 1Check electronic governor linkage for free movement and adjust if required
2. 2Check if governor speed setting lever has moved and re-adjust if required
3. 3Clear the fault lamp by turning the Control Switch to 'STOP' for the 2001 panel or by pressing the P.C.B RESET button on the 4001 and 4001E panels
4. 4Press the P.C.B RESET button (for 4001 and 4001E panels) to reset the system
5. 5Press the RESET button on the P.C.B (for 4001 and 4001E panels) to reset the fault
6. 6Rectify the fault before trying to restart
7. 7Refer to Engine Manual
8. 8Release Emergency Stop Pushbutton and any remote stop buttons
9. 9Replace the P.C.B.
10. 10Turn the Control Switch to 'STOP' (for 2001 panel) to reset the system
