What This Code Means

DST displays TIP voltage less than the limit defined in calibration with the engine running

Possible Causes

  • Intermittent Problem
  • Faulty harness (5Vref1 and 5Vrtn1 connections)
  • Faulty ECM (5Vref power supply)
  • Poor connection at sensor
  • Faulty TIP sensor

Suggested Actions

  1. 1Perform the On-Board (OBD) System Check
  2. 2Troubleshoot DTC 642 or 643 first
  3. 3Measure the voltage potential across 5Vref1 and 5Vrtn1 at connector using a DMM
