- 2Clean aftercooler with pressurized water at less than 275 kPa (40 psi) to soften mud
- 3Inspect cleanliness by placing a light bulb behind the core
- 4Open bent fins with a comb
- 5Perform a leak test on the aftercooler system
- 6Start and accelerate the engine to high idle rpm to dry the core and remove remaining debris
- 7Use degreaser and steam to remove oil and grease from both sides of the core
