Unit does not crank
Possible Causes
- •Crank relay on the controller is not energizing
- •Controller is not delivering 12 VDC to the start contactor relay (SCR) or starter contactor (SC)
Suggested Actions
- 1Set the digital multimeter (DM) to measure DC voltage, disconnect wire 56 from the SCR, connect meter leads between wire 56 and clean frame ground, set controller to MANUAL, and check for battery voltage
- 2Clear any active faults prior to output testing if the controller is in an alarm state
- 3Navigate to the controller digital output screen, set controller to MANUAL, hold button down, and verify digital output 6 (wire 56) changes from 0 to 1
- 4Remove the 7.5 amp fuse, disconnect the harness connector from the controller, remove Wire 56 from the starter contactor relay, set DM to measure resistance, and test resistance across Wire 56
