Engine fails to start; Engine does not engage by the third attempt; Engine speed is not safe; Low oil pressure; Engine pressure falls below 15 psi (103 kPa); High coolant temperature; Low coolant level; Loss of magnetic pickup; Unit will not run
Possible Causes
- •Engine fails to engage within three 10-second crank attempts
- •Engine engages at an unsafe speed (RPM's)
- •Oil pressure falls below 15 psi (103 kPa) as detected by variable resistive values from the oil pressure sending unit
- •Engine coolant temperature exceeds safe limits
- •Coolant level is low
- •Magnetic pickup signal is lost
- •MPEC Control Switch is set to the OFF/ RESET position
Suggested Actions
- 1Set MPEC Control Switch to the manual position to start the generator immediately
