INRUSH CURRENT LIMITER CIRCUIT FAILURE
UnclassifiedCooling
What This Code Means
Inverter output stops; e-alarm indication (TH indication) appears; Fin overheating; FIN signal is output; Inverter output stops during operation; Excess output current value detection indication appears; Inrush current limiter circuit failure indication appears
Possible Causes
- •Specified value of the electronic thermal function is reached
- •Operating a special motor (such as a multi-pole motor) or more than one motor without thermal relay protection
- •Cooling fan is overheated
- •Fin overheating protection temperature is reached
- •Approximately 85% of the fin overheating protection temperature is reached
- •One of the 3-phases (U, V, W) on the output side of the inverter fails during operation (not during DC braking or at 1 Hz or less)
- •Output current value exceeds the setting value
- •Resistor of the inrush current limiter circuit is overheated
- •Failure is detected in the inrush current limiter circuit
Suggested Actions
- 1Provide a thermal relay on the inverter output side if operating a special motor or multiple motors
- 2Enable or disable protection by selecting output phase failure protection settings
