What This Code Means

High compressor element outlet temperature; High cooling water outlet temperature; High dewpoint; High DP (differential pressure) of oil separator; Fan motor overload; LED (7) is alight; Regulator does not allow to enter a new command which is situated before the last command in the list timewise; Warning message appears on the screen; Indicators (**) are blinking; Programmed start/stop commands are not executed; Shut-down warning screen is displayed; Outlet temperature of the compressor element is too high; Main screen displays '*Serv Requir*'; Service warning message appears; <<Inputs>> is blinking in the Status data menu; <<Plans>> is blinking in the Status data menu; Compressor is shut down; LED (7) blinks; Display shows Element Outlet temperature exceeding maximum limit (e.g., 122 C, Shd Max 120); Motor overload condition; Service warning; Service condition; The screen shows the compressor is shut down (Shd); Compressor element outlet temperature actual reading (e.g., 122 °C) is h

Possible Causes

  • Element outlet temperature reaching or exceeding the shut-down or shut-down warning threshold settings
  • Cooling water outlet temperature or dewpoint reaching warning thresholds
  • Oil separator reaching maximum pressure drop threshold
  • Fan motor overload contacts status change
  • Cooling water outlet temperature exceeds the programmed warning level on water-cooled compressors
  • Regulator programming restriction that prevents inserting a chronological command before the final command in the active sequence
  • Dewpoint temperature exceeds the warning level on Full-Feature compressors (compressors with integrated air dryer)
  • Clock function is not activated
  • Compressor element outlet temperature exceeded the maximum limit (e.g., 116 °C vs Max 110 °C)
  • Programmed service level of a component is exceeded (e.g., maximum pressure drop of the oil separator)
  • Service plan interval is exceeded
  • Too high a temperature at the compressor element outlet
  • Motor overload
  • Service interval reached or service condition triggered
  • Compressor element outlet temperature exceeded the programmed shut-down setting
  • Fan motor overload relay (F15) tripped
  • A parameter reached a programmable warning level below the shut-down level

Suggested Actions

  1. 1Navigate to Menu -> Modify Params -> Protections -> Element outlet and press Mod (F2) to modify the shut-down (<<Shd>>) or shut-down warning (<<Shdw>>) threshold settings.
  2. 2Modify the warning (<<Warn>>) protection settings in the parameters menu.
  3. 3Modify the service warning (<<Serv>>) protection settings for the oil separator pressure drop.
  4. 4Check the status of the fan motor overload contacts in the compressor conditions parameters list.
  5. 5Stop the compressor and wait until the compressor has stopped
  6. 6Switch off the voltage, inspect the compressor and remedy
  7. 7Scroll through the display until the command before which the new command must be entered is followed by a horizontal arrow.
  8. 8Press the 'Mod' key.
  9. 9Change this command to the new command and press the 'Prog' key.
  10. 10Press the down arrow (↓) key, add the original last command of the list, and press the 'Prog' key.
  11. 11Activate the clock function (change status to <<Activated>> in the Clock function menu)
  12. 12Stop the compressor by pressing button 0 and wait until it stops
  13. 13Switch off the voltage
  14. 14Inspect the compressor and remedy
  15. 15Allow warning condition to disappear automatically for the warning message to clear
  16. 16Stop the compressor and switch off the voltage
  17. 17Replace the oil separator
  18. 18Switch on the voltage
  19. 19Scroll in the Status data menu to <<Inputs>> and press the Rset key to reset the service message
  20. 20Carry out the service actions related to the indicated plans
