Possible Causes

• •Faulty Relay
• •Faulty Relay connection/wiring
• •Faulty ECM
• •Faulty harness (open-circuit)

Suggested Actions

1. 1Perform the On-Board (OBD) System Check
2. 2Measure the voltage potential from the relay output to ground while the engine is trying to crank (voltage should be > 80% of Vbat)
3. 3Connect test lamp to Vbat and Relay output with Key On, Engine Off, External power Test Mode = 'All On' and check if the test lamp stays lit
4. 4Disconnect wire harness header from ECM and check resistance between Relay output at ECM header and at relay (resistance should be < 5.0 ohms)
