Possible Causes

• •Low engine coolant level
• •Faulty coolant level switch
• •Wiring associated with the switch shorted to ground (engine side or OEM side)

Suggested Actions

1. 1Check engine coolant level and refill if low.
2. 2Disconnect the coolant level switch, clear fault codes, and attempt to start the engine to verify if the switch is faulty.
3. 3If the fault persists with the switch disconnected, locate the Vehicle Interface Connector (VIC) at terminal K and disconnect it.
4. 4Use an ohmmeter to measure for a short to ground from pin K on both the engine side and OEM side of the VIC.
5. 5Repair the identified short circuit on either the engine side or the OEM wiring.
