Suggested Actions
- 1Remove the aftercooler core according to the 'Aftercooler - Remove and Install' procedure in the Disassembly and Assembly Manual.
- 2Turn the aftercooler core on one side to remove accessible debris.
- 3Back flush the core with cleaner (recommended: Hydrosolv 4165 or Hydrosolv 100 at 2% to 5% concentration at temperatures up to 93°C / 200°F). Do not use high concentration caustic cleaner.
- 4Remove the drain plug.
- 5Steam clean the core to remove residue and flush the fins (do not use high pressure to avoid damaging fins).
- 6Wash the core with hot, soapy water.
- 7Flush the core thoroughly with clean, fresh water until exiting water is clear and free of debris.
- 8Dry the core using compressed air at maximum nozzle pressure less than 205 kPa (30 psi), directing air in the reverse direction of normal flow.
